The Department of Neurobiology & Biophysics is delighted to welcome Marito Hayashi, PhD, as its newest Assistant Professor. Dr. Hayashi’s research explores how sensory signals from the gut shape brain function, physiology, and behavior, a frontier that is redefining our understanding of the mind-body connection. He comes to us from the laboratory of Dr. Stephen Liberles at Harvard Medical School, where he completed his postdoctoral training.
