NBIO is proud to congratulate Carlson Lab alumna Lindsay Schwarz, PhD, on receiving the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), one of the highest honors given by the U.S. government to outstanding scientists and engineers in the early stages of their independent research careers.
Lindsay earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 2003 and served as a research technician in the Carlson lab during the early 2000s, where she laid the foundation for her distinguished career in neuroscience. She currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
The PECASE award recognizes exceptional young researchers who show significant promise for leadership in science and technology.
